Connector Settings


Overview

This article provides a comprehensive guide on how to update the connector settings of your system effectively.  You will learn how to configure connector settings to ensure seamless integration with other systems. 
Please note that if you are not an administrator for the selected system, all settings will appear in read-only mode, and you will be unable to make any modifications.

Step 1 - Start Edit Mode 

  1. To enter edit mode, you have two options to start editing your system:
    1. Option 1: Select the Edit icon from the context menu on the Contact card.
    2. Option 2: Select the Edit option drop-down on the Contact Details screen.

  1. Once you select any of the options explained above to reach the edit screen, the following screen will appear.
  2. Click on the Configuration band. This will open the selected section in editing mode.
  3. Upon clicking the Configuration band, the screen will display its subsection:
    1. Application Settings
    2. Connector Settings
    3. Credentials
    4. User-Defined Fields
  4. A separate band will represent each section. You can click any band to modify its details.

Step 2 - Accessing Connector Settings 

  1. Click on the Connector Settings band.

  1. After clicking the Connector Settings band, the screen will display the list of settings.
  2. The list of settings will vary depending on the system type.
  3. A separate band will represent each connector setting.

Step 3 - Modify Connector Settings 

  1. The control of the connector settings is provided on the band itself.
  2. You can modify the connector setting values using their controls, such as drop-downs, switches, text boxes, etc.
  3. Modify any of the settings using their respective controls. Use the Save button to apply your modifications.
  4. The action area includes the following action items:
    1. The action area also contains a Help icon. Clicking on this icon will open help content in the context area.
    2. A reset icon is provided to reset the connector settings. You can reset all settings at once or individually.


Reset All Connector Settings to Default

  1. Reset All Settings icon allows you to reset all connector settings at once. 
  2. To reset all settings to their default values, click the Reset All Settings icon. Upon clicking the icon, all connector settings will be set to their default values. 
Please note that if you are not an admin user for the chosen system, all the connector settings will be displayed in read-only mode, and you will not be able to modify any of the settings.


  1. When you click the Reset All Settings button for a band, a confirmation pop-up will appear.
  2. The pop-up will have two options - a Yes button and a No button.
  3. If you select the Yes button, all settings will be reset to their default values.
  4. However, the resetting process will be terminated if you select the No button.

Reset Selected Settings to Default

  1. To reset the selected settings, click on the Select button.
  2. The button text will change to Deselect

  1. Select the settings band you want to reset, and then click the Reset Selected Settings button.
  2. Upon clicking the icon, the selected connector settings will be set to their default values. 

  1. When you click the Reset Selected Settings button for a band, a confirmation pop-up will appear.
  2. The pop-up will have two options - a Yes button and a No button.
  3. If you select the Yes button, all settings will be reset to their default values.
  4. However, the resetting process will be terminated if you select the No button.
