Environment Settings

Customize your user interface with our general settings. adjust zoom, font, and environment to optimize your app's UI for a better user experience. This section will provide you with the steps to configure environment settings for your application.

Navigate to the Environment Module

Navigation: Settings > General
  1. Click the Settings icon on the screen to access the Settings module.
  2. Next, click on the General menu.

View Your Environment

  1. Click on the Environment row to begin.

  1. By default, the screen will display the following environments:
    1. Development (Dev) - Green Color
    2. Production (Prod) - Blue Color
    3. Quality Assurance (QA) - Orange Color
  2. In the given interface, each row represents a unique environment associated with a specific color. The row also shows the environment's name, an icon, and a brief description. A chevron icon at the end of each row indicates subsections; click anywhere on the row to access them.
  3. You can add or remove an environment from this screen.
Notes
Kindly note that in this section, you can configure the available environments or create a new environment that suits your requirements. However, you cannot set your working environment on this screen. To set your preferred environment, kindly click on the Environment icon located above the Settings icon.

Delete Environment 

This section describes how to delete single or multiple environments at once.

Delete Single Environment

  1. When you hover over any of the environment bands, a Delete icon will show up.
  2. If you click the icon, a confirmation pop-up should appear.

  1. The pop-up will present two options: a Yes button and a No button. 
  2. Choose the Yes button to delete the environment. 
  3. However, selecting the No button will cancel the deletion process.

Delete Multiple Environments 

  1. Click the Select button in the action area.

  1. Select the environment bands you want to remove.
  2. Once you select the environment band, a delete icon will appear in the action area.
  1. The pop-up will have two options - a Yes button and a No button.
  2. Click the Yes button to delete the environment.
  3. However, the deletion process will be terminated if you select the No button.

Adding a New Environment

  1. The Add button allows you to add a new environment of your choice. 
  2. Click on the Add button.

  1. On the Add Environment pop-up, fill in the following details:
    1. Name: 
      1. In this field, enter the environment’s name of your choice.
      2. Please note that only letters and digits are allowed in this field, and a maximum of 150 characters is allowed. 
    2. Environment Type: 
      1. Choose an environment type from the dropdown menu.
    3. Description: 
      1. Enter the environment description in this field. 
      2. The description must be within a 150-character limit.
    4. Save:
      1. By default, the "Save" button is disabled.
      2. Once you enter the name and select the environment type, the Save button becomes enabled.
      3. Click on the Save button to save the environment.
  2. To stop adding a new environment, simply click on the "Cancel" button.
  1. The newly created environment gets listed on the screen.

Modifying Environment

  1. To modify any environment, click on any of the environment bands.

  1. The following subsections will appear for the selected environment:
    1. Details
    2. Color Indicator
  2. Click on any of the bands to start modifying the details.

Modify Environment Details

  1. Click on the Details band.

  1. The Details screen will display the existing details of the selected environment. 
  2. You can modify any of the details on the screen:
    1. Name: 
      1. The existing name will appear in the field.
      2. To modify the name, enter the new name in the field.
      3. Note that only letters and digits are permitted, with a maximum of 150 characters. 
    2. Environment Type: 
      1. The existing environment type will be shown in the field.
      2. Select a different option from the drop-down menu to change the environment type.
    3. Description: 
      1. The existing description will appear in this field.
      2. To modify the description, start entering the new description. 
      3. This text field allows up to 150 characters for the description.
    4. Save:
      1. By default, the "Save" button is disabled. Once you start modifying any of the fields, the Save button becomes enabled.
      2. Click on the Save button to save the modifications.
  3. To discard the modification, click anywhere on the breadcrumb. Upon clicking the breadcrumb, a confirmation pop-up will appear.

    1. When you try to exit the screen without saving your changes, a pop-up will appear seeking confirmation.
    2. If you choose to discard the changes, click on the 'Yes' button.
    3. However, if you want to keep the changes, click on the 'No' button. This will close the pop-up. Remember to save your changes by clicking the 'Save' button.

    Modify Environment Color Indicator

    1. Click the Color Indicator band. The screen will show the environment's current color.

    1. In this screen, you can configure the color indicator for the environment.
    2. The existing color code is displayed on the Color Indicator band.
    3. Click the Choose Color button.

    1. Click the Choose Color button to open a color picker.
    2. Please select an appropriate color from the color picker and click the Save button.

    1. The newly added color of the environment gets displayed on the band.

    1. You can preview the environment color.
    2. The preview of the Color Indicator is provided on the two themes, and you can switch between them by clicking on the respective tab:
      1. Light Theme
      2. Dark Theme
    3. The preview will display the configured color for the environment.  

    Switch Between Environments

    This section describes how to switch between environments. 
    1. To change your working environment, click the Environment icon above the Settings icon.

    1. A pop-up window will appear, listing all available environments.
    2. Just choose the environment you want to use, and it will switch immediately.
