Overview

This section explains how to configure the application's general settings.

Navigate to the Settings

Navigation: Settings > General > Settings
  1. Go to the Settings module.
  2. Click the General tab, then click the Settings band.

  1. The Settings band displays a list of the general settings.
  2. Each setting is represented on a separate band. 
  3. Each band has a control at the end that you can use to configure the settings:
    1. Automation Update Strategy
    2. Login Timeout
    3. Message Log History Error Messages
    4. Message Log History Filtered Messages
    5. Message Log History Success Messages
    6. My Timezone
    7. System Connector Update Strategy

System Connector Update Strategy

  1. This setting lets you configure the system connector's update options directly on the band.
  2. Use the dropdown at the end of the band to select your preferred option:
    1. No Automatic Check: Selecting this option turns off automatic updates and notifications. You will not receive alerts about system connector updates. 
    2. Check Automatically and Notify: This option lets you receive notifications whenever the system connector is updated.
    3. Check Automatically, Notify, and Download: This option allows you to receive notifications about updates and automatically download them when they become available.

Automation Update Strategy

  1. This setting lets you configure the automation's update options directly on the band.
  2. Use the dropdown at the end of the band to select your preferred option:
  3. The available choices are as follows:
    1. No Automatic Check: This option prevents automatic updates and notifications. If selected, you will not receive alerts about updates to the automation.
    2. Check Automatically and Notify: This option allows you to receive notifications whenever updates to the automation are available.
    3. Check Automatically, Notify, and Download: This option enables you to receive update notifications and automatically download updates when they become available.

My Timezone

  1. This setting allows you to configure the application's time zone.
  2. You can make adjustments directly on the band.
  3. A dropdown is available at the end of the band.
  4. The dropdown lists time zone options, allowing you to select your preferred time zone.
  5. After you select a time zone, the application applies it to all modules by default.

Login Timeout

  1. This setting lets you configure the application's screen logout duration, which you can adjust directly on the band.
  2. A dropdown at the end of the band offers a selection of fixed time intervals.
  3. You can select your desired logout time from this menu, with available options presented in minutes.
  4. After you select a duration, the application logs you out automatically after that period.

Message Log History Success Messages

  1. This setting allows you to configure how long the success message history is retained in the message log.
  2. You can adjust this setting directly on the band, where you'll find a dropdown at the end.
  3. The dropdown offers various durations, including options in days, minutes, weeks, months, and years.
  4. Once you choose a duration, it will determine how long the success messages remain in the log. For instance, if you select one day, the success message will automatically be cleared from the message log history after that period.

Message Log History Error Messages

  1. This setting allows you to configure how long the error message history is retained in the log.
  2. You can adjust this setting directly on the band, where you'll find a dropdown at the end.
  3. The dropdown offers various durations, including options in days, minutes, weeks, months, and years.
  4. Once you choose a duration, it determines how long the error messages stay in the log. For instance, if you select 1 day, the error message is cleared from the message log history after that period.

Message Log History Filtered Messages

  1. This setting allows you to configure how long the filtered message history is retained in the log.
  2. You can adjust this setting directly on the band, where you'll find a dropdown at the end.
  3. The dropdown offers various durations, including options in days, minutes, weeks, months, and years.
  4. Once you choose a duration, it determines how long the filtered messages stay in the log. For instance, if you select 1 day, the filtered message is cleared from the message log history after that period.
