Edit Project Details


Overview

One of the great benefits of our project management is that it enables you to make changes to your existing project details as needed. If you need to make changes to your project details after it has been created, don't worry! You can easily edit the project at any time. To edit an existing project, navigate to the project module and click the 'Edit' button. This will take you to the project editor, where you can modify any aspect of the project.

Step 1 - Start Editing Mode

  1. Option 1: Select the 'Edit' icon from the context menu on the 'Project' card.
  2. Option 2: Select the 'Edit' option drop-down on the 'Project Details' screen.

  1. After clicking the 'Edit' button, a screen will appear, allowing you to select the section you want to modify.
  2. The following sections are provided on the screen:
    1. Details
    2. Logo
    3. Network
    4. Team Member
  3.  To edit any of the sections, click on the respective band. The respective section will be opened in editing mode upon clicking the band. 

Step 2 - Modify Project Details

  1. Click on the 'Details' band, and the detail screen will open in edit mode.

  1. Here, you can edit the existing details. The following fields will appear with pre-populated data, and you can modify any of them:
    1. Project Name: 
      1. The existing project name will appear in the field.
      2. Edit your project name in this field.
    2. Project Description: 
      1. The existing project description will appear in the field.
      2. Edit your project description in this field. 
    3. Save: 
      1. Once you modify any of the fields, the Save button gets enabled.
      2. Click on the Save button to save the modifications.
  2. To discard the modification, click anywhere on the breadcrumb. Upon clicking the breadcrumb, a confirmation pop-up will appear.

  1. When you attempt to exit the screen without saving your changes, a pop-up will appear, requesting confirmation.
  2. If you choose to discard the changes, click on the 'Yes' button.
  3. However, if you want to keep the changes, click on the 'No' button. This will close the pop-up. Remember to save your changes by clicking the 'Save' button.

Step 3 - Modify Project Logo

This section provides detailed guidelines to help you modify or revise the current logo for your project. By following these instructions step-by-step, you can easily update or edit the logo to better reflect your brand's identity. This section describes how to add, modify, or remove the image of your project.
  1. To modify the project logo, click on the Logo band.

  1. If you have already configured the logs, the screen will show the existing project logos. However, you can modify it as needed.
  2. You will find a Change and Remove button for both logos on the screen. If you click the Change button, you can replace the existing image. On the other hand, if you want to delete the logo, you can use the Remove button.
The JPG, PNG, BMP, and SVG formats should be supported for uploading images and logos.

  1. To modify the logo, click on the Change button.

  1. A local browsing pop-up will appear. Browse through your local system and locate the image.
  2. Once you find it, select the image and click Open.

  1. The pop-up will include the following options to edit the image:
    1. Crop
    2. Zoom in and Zoom out
    3. Rotate anti-clockwise and rotate clockwise
    4. Flip Vertically and Flip Horizontally
    5. Reset
  1. Save Image button is provided to save the cropped image. Once you have completed the modifications, click on the Save Image.

  1. To remove an existing image, click on the 'Remove' button.
  2. A toaster message confirms the removal of the image.

  1.  The image will be removed instantly.

Step 4 - View & Modify Team Member List

In this section, you will find a set of comprehensive instructions to help you edit or update an existing team member with ease. By following the steps mentioned here, you can make changes to the existing team members.
  1. Click on the Team Member band.

  1. After clicking on the Team Member band, the screen will display a list of team members.
  2. On this screen you can add or remove the team members from the project.

Add Team Member

  1. To add a new team member, click on the 'Add' button provided in the action area of the screen.
  2. Upon clicking the button, the 'Add Team Member' wizard will open.
  3. Refer to the Add Team Member article for more details. 

Remove Team Member

  1. Once you hover the mouse on the team member band, the Delete icon will appear on the row. The 'Delete' button allows you to remove the selected team member.
  2. To delete the selected team member, click the Delete icon.

  1. When you click on the Delete button for a band, a pop-up will appear to confirm the deletion.
  2. The pop-up will have two options: a 'Yes' button and a 'No' button.
  3. If you select the 'Yes' button, the band will be deleted.
  4. However, if you select the 'No' button, the deletion process will be terminated.

Remove Multiple Team Members

You can remove multiple team members at once from a project. Follow these steps to remove members from a project.
  1. Click on the Select button in the action area.
  2. Once the 'Select' button is selected, it will change to 'Deselect'.

  1. Now, select the bands of the team members that you want to remove. You can choose multiple bands together.  
  2. 'Remove' icon will appear next to the 'Deselect' button.
  3. Click on the Remove icon. 

  1. When removing team members from the project, a confirmation pop-up will appear. The pop-up will display two buttons, 'Yes' and 'No'.
  2. To proceed with the removal, click on the 'Yes' button. This will remove the selected team members from the project.
  3. If you wish to cancel the removal, choose the 'No' button.

Step 5 - View and Modify Network 

  1. To view and modify the project network, click on the Network band.


  1. Upon clicking the 'Network' band, the screen will display a list of systems connected to the selected project.
  2. The Network module is explained in a separate article.
