View Contact Details


Overview

This section provides a detailed overview of your contact's information. You can see their complete address, including street, city, state, and zip code, along with contact details such as phone number, email, and fax, ensuring you have the exact information for any correspondence. Additionally, you can view the projects associated with the selected contact.

Navigate to the Contact Module

Navigation: Home > Contact > Card
  1. Click anywhere on the Contact card.

  1. After you click, the details screen appears.
  2. The details screen provides a brief overview of the contact.
  3. By default, the following widgets appear on the details screen:
    1. Contact
    2. Address
    3. Communication
    4. Associated Project
  4. Each widget displays its corresponding information.


Contact Widget

The widget provides a comprehensive overview of your contact, highlighting key details at a glance. The contact's photo is prominently displayed, along with their name and title, serving as quick identifiers. A log of business partners is also shown, indicating the associated contact. At the bottom of the widget, you'll see the contact's email address and date of birth.


    Address Widget

    The widget displays the contact's mailing address. The contact can have multiple addresses, such as Business, Billing, Shipping, etc. The widget displays the address set as the default. However, you can view or change the values in the dropdown to see other available address types. 



    Communication Widget

    The widget provides the contact's communication details. The contact can have multiple communications, such as Business, Billing, Shipping, etc. The widget displays the communication set as the default. However, you can view or change the values in the dropdown to see other available communication types. 



    Associated Project

    The widget displays the project details that are associated with the chosen contact. A list of projects will be shown with name, logo, and description. If you want to see more details about the project, click the respective band. Clicking it opens the Project module detail screen.



    Work With Widgets

    This section describes how to organize, modify, add, or remove widgets on the details screen.

    Organize Widgets

    Refer to the Customize Dashboard article to organize your widgets on the screen. 

    Add or Remove Widgets

    1. Refer to the Add Widgets to Dashboard article to add widgets to your screen. 
    2. Refer to the Remove Widget article to remove the widget from the screen.

    Edit Widget Name

    Refer to the Edit Widget Name article to modify the widget name of your choice. 

    Modify Data Display Type

    Refer to the Modify Data Display Type article to modify the widget name. 

    Edit Button with Menu Options

    1. An Edit button is available on the screen's action area. Clicking the button directs you to the editing screen.
    2. An accordion appears next to the Edit button. Click the accordion to see the following options:    
      1. Favorite: You can mark a card as a favorite by clicking the Star icon. When you mark a card as a favorite, it appears alphabetically at the top of the list. The remaining cards appear in alphabetical order after the favorite card.
      2. Deactivate: This option allows you to deactivate the chosen contact.
      3. Add Laptop: This option allows you to add functionality for the user to download the application and run it locally on their device instead of using the cloud version. After you click the option, a wizard opens where you complete all the steps.
      4. Delete: This option allows you to delete the contact.

    Edit Contact

    1. To edit a contact, click the Edit button.


    1. After you click Edit, a screen appears where you can change any contact details.
    2. Refer to the "Edit Contact" article for steps to edit the details.


    Mark the Contact as a Favorite

    1. To mark the contact as a favorite, click the Favorite option. 


    1. After you click the option, the contact is marked with a star icon to indicate it's a favorite.
    2. You can remove a contact from your favorites at any time. For contacts already marked as favorites, the Unfavourite option is available in the dropdown menu. Click the Unfavourite option to remove the contact from your favorites. 


    Deactivate the Contact

    1. To deactivate the contact, click the Deactivate option.


    1. After you click the option, the contact is deactivated and displayed in gray.
    2. After the contact is deactivated, you can either reactivate or delete it. No other options are available for deactivated contacts.


    Add Laptop to Contact

    1. To add a laptop to the contact, click the Add Laptop option.
    2. After you click Add Laptop, a wizard starts.
    3. Refer to the "Add Laptop" article for steps to add a laptop to a user.


    Delete Contact

    1. To delete a contact, click the Delete option.


    1. After you click Delete, a confirmation dialog appears.
    2. Click Yes to continue.
    3. Click No to abort the deletion.
