This section provides a detailed explanation of the process for disconnecting objects between interconnected entities within the project. It's important to note that the disconnect option is available only for connected entities. This means that if you have entities linked within the project network, you can easily identify the connection line. By selecting this line, the option labeled "Disconnect" will become visible in the network tab, allowing you to proceed with the disconnection. This step is essential for managing relationships between entities effectively and ensuring that the object's data is configured correctly.
Accessing the Disconnect Screen
- You can access the disconnect screen from both Interaction View and Dataflow View:
- Interaction View:
- In the Interaction View, the disconnect option is only accessible for connected entities.
- Click on the connection line.

- Dataflow View:
- The disconnect option can be accessed within the Dataflow View by selecting a component node.
- Click on the component node.

Disconnecting Connection from the Interaction View
To disconnect the connection between the entities, it is essential to first disengage the entities that are subscribing to the data associated with the target object. It is not permissible to terminate the connection directly; such an action could result in complications or data inconsistencies.
Instead, you should thoroughly review all dependent entities that are actively engaged with the data from the connected entity. This involves identifying each subscribing entity, assessing its relationship to the primary object, and ensuring that all dependencies are properly managed. By systematically disconnecting these subscribers, you can ensure that the system's overall integrity is maintained while safely detaching the intended connections.
- Go to the Interaction View and bring the entities into the network diagram for which you want to disconnect the connection.
- Select the connection line between the entities.
- Click on the Disconnect button that appears on the network tab.
- Upon clicking the band, you will be directed to the Disconnect screen for further processing.
View Published Object(s) and Dependent Entities
After clicking the disconnect button, the following screen will appear, and the screen is divided into two sections:
- Object and flow directions:
- This section explains the objects' flow direction.
- You will see the flow direction shown on the band. The band displays system logs and data flow directions between them. You will see only one band if only unidirectional data flow is supported. If bidirectional data is supported, two bands indicate the directions.
- An accordion shows that the section can be expanded. Clicking the band expands it to reveal a list of the published objects between the connected entities. When you select an object, the dependent entities that subscribe to its data are displayed in the next section. You must first disconnect the dependent entity.
- Dependent entity:
- This section provides a list of the dependent entities of the object.
- Once you select the object in the object section (toward the left side), the corresponding dependent entities are listed in this section:
- If dependent entities are present:
- Select the object from the object section; the corresponding dependent entities will be listed in the section.
- These entities will be listed in this section.
- Please note that you can disconnect only one entity at a time. Multiple disconnections are not allowed. You may disconnect the entities one by one.
- If there are multiple dependent entities, the first entity in the list will display a 'Disconnect' icon, and the remaining entities will be disabled until one entity is successfully disconnected.
- Click on the 'Disconnect' icon. Once the disconnect starts, a 'Processing' icon will appear on the band indicating that the disconnection is in progress.
- Once the process is completed and the entity is disconnected, a confirmation message will appear on the band. Additionally, a toaster message will also appear for confirmation.
- The disconnected entity will be removed from the list, and the next entity will display the Disconnect icon on the band.
- Repeat the process until all the entities are disconnected.
- Once all the dependent entities are disconnected, the screen displays a confirmation message indicating that all dependent entities have been disconnected.
- Click on the Disconnect {Object name} button to disconnect the object.
- If dependent entities are not present:
- If no entity subscribes to data from the selected object, the screen will indicate that there are no dependencies. It will also display the 'Disconnect {object name}' button.
- Click this button to disconnect the selected object.
- Once the object is successfully disconnected, a confirmation message will appear on the object's band.
- After the confirmation message, the disconnected object gets removed from the list.

Disconnecting an Object Without Any Dependency
- This section explains how to disconnect an object that isn't subscribed to by any other entity, meaning there is no dependency on it.
- When you click the Disconnect button on the Interaction View or Dataflow View, you'll be directed to the disconnect screen below. Published objects are listed on the left side of the screen. The right side will display any dependent entities for the selected object.
- Click on an object on the left, and if there are dependencies, they will appear on the right.
- If there are no dependent entities for the selected object, the right side will show the "Disconnect {object name}" button for that object.
- Click on the Disconnect {object name} button on the right side section.
- Once you click on the Disconnect {object name} button, the corresponding object gets disconnected and removed from the screen.
- You will also notice the confirmation message on the screen.
- Similarly, disconnect all the objects.
- Once all objects are disconnected successfully, a confirmation message will be displayed on the screen stating that all dependent entities have been disconnected.
- Click on the back button to go back to the previous screen.
Disconnect an Object With Dependent Entities
- Once click on the Disconnect button, the following screen will appear, where you can disconnect the dependent entities and the connected objects.
- Click on the object on the left side of the section, and the dependent entities that subscribe to its data are displayed in the next section. You must first disconnect the dependent entity.
- Once you select an object in the object section (located on the left side), the corresponding dependent entities are listed on the right side.
- Please note that you can disconnect only one entity at a time. Multiple disconnections are not allowed. You may disconnect the entities one by one. If there are multiple dependent entities, the first entity in the list will display a 'Disconnect' icon, and the remaining entities will be disabled until one entity is successfully disconnected.
- Click on the 'Disconnect' icon. Once the disconnect starts, a 'Processing' icon will appear on the band indicating that the disconnection is in progress.

- Once the process is completed and the entity is disconnected, a confirmation message will appear on the screen.
- The disconnected entity will be removed from the list, and the next entity will display the Disconnect icon on the band.
- Repeat the process until all the entities are disconnected.
- Once all the dependent entities are disconnected, the screen displays a confirmation message indicating that all dependent entities have been disconnected.

- When all the dependent entities for the selected object are disconnected, the right side will show the "Disconnect {object name}" button for that object.
- Click on the Disconnect {object name} button on the right side section.
If you encounter an error during the process of disconnecting, a warning icon will be displayed alongside a retry icon on the band. This indicates that the selected entity could not be disconnected. You can initiate another attempt to disconnect by selecting the Retry icon. Each user is permitted a maximum of three attempts to rectify the disconnection error. You should be able to successfully disconnect the entity using the retry option during any of these attempts. The next entity for disconnection will automatically be presented to you. However, if you exhaust the three retry attempts without success, you will then be unable to proceed with the disconnection process. It is essential to contact the OneEnterprise support team for assistance.

Disconnect Component from Dataflow View
To disconnect the component from the data flow view, it is necessary to first disengage the entities subscribing to the data linked to the target. Directly terminating the connection is not allowed, as it could cause problems or data inconsistencies. To disconnect any component or automation, the dependent entities that are subscribing to it must be disconnected first.
- Go to the Dataflow View and choose the component node you want to disconnect.
- Click on the Disconnect button that appears on the network tab.
- After clicking the button, you will be directed to the Disconnect screen for further processing.
- Refer to the Disconnecting an Object Without Any Dependency section above.
- Refer to the Disconnect an Object With Dependent Entities section above.
