Project Roles


Overview

In this section, you will learn how to set up roles and permissions that are grouped under the Project Roles. By assigning project-related permissions to specific roles, you can control the actions allowed for each role. This feature gives you the flexibility and control to manage user roles and permissions more effectively.

Notes
Please note that this document provides information on assigning a role to the user. There are multiple roles in the OneEnterprise; they can be assigned or withdrawn in the same way as explained in this document.

Navigate to Project Roles

  1. Go to the Settings module, and click on the Roles & Rights tab.
  2. The following roles are provided on the screen:
    1. Client Roles
    2. Partner Roles
    3. Project Roles
    4. Provider Roles
  3. To set up Project Roles, click the "Project Roles" band and configure them to meet your requirements.

Project Roles

  1. The screen will appear after clicking on the Project Roles, displaying the list of roles available under Project Roles.
  2. If you have not configured any role yet, an empty screen will appear with the Add Role button.
  3. Click on the Add Roles button.
  1. Provide the role name and description in their respective field.
  2. Once entered, click the Save button.

  1. The newly configured role will start appearing on the screen.
  2. A Chevron icon is located at the end of the band. Clicking on it or anywhere within the band lets you edit a level further.

Rename Role

  1. Once you hover the mouse over any role's band, the Rename icon will appear on the row. 
  2. The "Rename" button lets you modify the name of the selected role.
  3. To rename the selected role, click the "Rename" icon.

  1. A Rename screen will open, where you can modify the role name.
  2. The existing name will appear in the Role Name field. You can also modify the role description.
  3. Once all the modifications are done, click on the Save button. 

Set Default Role

  1. Once you hover the mouse over any role's band, the Default icon will appear on the row. 
  2. The "Default" button lets you set the user's default role.
  3. To set the selected role as default, click the "Default" icon.
  4. Once clicked, the chosen role will be marked as a default role, and the band will display the Default chip on it.

Delete Role

  1. Once you hover the mouse on any role's band, the Delete icon will appear on the row. 
  2. The "Delete" button lets you delete the selected role.
  3. To delete the selected role, click the "Delete" icon.

  1. When you click on the Delete button for a band, a pop-up will appear to confirm the deletion.
  2. The pop-up will have two options - a YES button and a NO button.
  3. If you select the YES button, the band will be deleted.
  4. However, if you select the NO button, the deletion process will be terminated.


Project Account Manager

  1. The screen will appear after clicking on the Project Account Manager band, displaying the list of departments available in the application:
    1. Cloud Manager
    2. Integration Service
    3. Message Bus
    4. Portal
  2. Refer to the Client Roles article to view the steps for setting up the user's role and rights. Please note that all the roles and rights are configured in the same way as explained in the Client Roles article.
