Clone Object

Clone Object

Overview

Use Clone to duplicate an existing object in the Library without rebuilding its structure from scratch. This is useful when you need a second object with the same or similar field configuration, such as when two integrations share a common data model. The Clone feature is available on the Library > Objects page and takes effect immediately after confirmation.

Before you begin
  1. Confirm that at least one object already exists in the Library. You can only clone an existing object — you cannot create one from scratch using this flow.
  2. Verify that you have the permissions required to add objects to the Library.

When you need a copy of an existing object, use the Clone option from the Add button dropdown to open the Clone dialog and select the object you want to duplicate.

Step 1: Open the Clone dialog

  1. In the left navigation, select Library, then select Objects.
  2. In the top-right corner of the page, select the dropdown arrow on the Add button.
  3. Select Clone.

Step 2: Select Object For Cloning

  1. On the Clone pop-up, select the object that you want to clone.
  2. The selected object will get highlighted. Please note that you can select only one object. Multiple object selection is allowed.
  3. Select Clone.

Step 3: View Cloned Object

  1. As you hit the Clone button, the selected object will be cloned and listed on the screen.
  2. You can now modify the cloned object as needed.
