Automation Dashboard

Automation Dashboard

Overview

Automation is vital for executing complex workflows with minimal human input. It aims to simplify processes, boost efficiency, and reduce errors. Organizations adopting automation can speed up turnaround times and improve workflow accuracy. This section explains how to navigate to the Automation screen from any other screen.

Navigate to the Automations Module

Navigation: Home > Automations
  1. Click on the Automations menu as shown on the screen. It will navigate you to the Automations Dashboard.

Dashboard

The list of configured automations will be displayed on the screen. Each automation is represented by a card that provides an overview. If you have not created any automations yet, the screen will be empty.

Automation Card

The card provides you with an overview of your automation. You can view the following information on the card:
  1. The automation card provides a clear view of your automation's status and options.
  2. In the top left of the card, you may notice the automation status. If your system is not functioning correctly, you will not see any warning or alert icon. This icon serves as a quick indicator of any issues or problems with the automation. If everything is running smoothly, this icon won't appear.
  3. In the center of the card, you'll find the automation logo. If you haven't configured a logo yet, a default automation logo will be displayed instead. The logo serves as a visual representation of your automation, making it easy to identify at a glance.
  4. Just below the logo, you can see the automation type, which provides a brief description of the type of automation you're working with.
  5. Finally, it provides the details about the connection type, authentication type, and execution type of your automation.
  6. At the bottom of the card, you can view your Project and Version details:
    1. Projects: This section displays the number of projects associated with the selected system. If you do not have any projects, the section will display as '0'. If the automation is involved in more than one project, then upon clicking the section, you will be directed to the project module with the project listing screen open. If the automation is involved in only one project, clicking the section will direct you to the project network screen.
    2. Version: This section displays the automation version number. If an update is available for the chosen automation, the section will display 'Update Available'. Upon clicking the section, the automation will be updated with the latest version.

Action Area

The action area is a section of the screen, usually in the top-right corner, that contains buttons with specific functions for the screen you're on. These buttons typically let you perform actions such as saving, deleting, editing, or sharing information. The exact buttons you see in the action area may change depending on what screen you're currently using.
The breadcrumb represents the navigation tree of the screens. To navigate to a corresponding section, click on any segment of the breadcrumb. A back icon is provided at the beginning of the breadcrumb, which allows you to go back one step.

Help

  1. This feature displays help content relevant to the current screen. It is designed to provide you with clear, helpful guidance for navigating the interface.
  2. Click the Help icon to open the help for the related screen.

  1. A search option is provided in the action area of the screen.
  2. If you have multiple systems, you can search for a specific one by name.
  3. The result will be displayed for you immediately as you type.

Filter

  1. A filter option is provided in the action area of the screen.
  2. If you have multiple systems, you can easily search for a specific system by system name, type, or both.
  3. Click on the Filter icon.

  1. Four filters are available for you in the filter:
    1. Status field:
      1. This is a dropdown field, and the drop-down will display the status value.
      2. The field is prefilled with the All value.
      3. You can select an appropriate value from the drop-down to apply it to the filter.
    2. Type field:
      1. The 'Type field' lets you filter the system by type.
      2. As you click on the field, a list of the automation types will be displayed.
      3. You can select an appropriate value from the drop-down to apply it to the filter.
    3. Trigger field:
      1. The 'Trigger field' lets you filter the automation by trigger type.
      2. As you click on the field, a list of the trigger types will be displayed.
      3. You can select an appropriate value from the drop-down to apply it to the filter.
    4. Show Results button: After clicking the 'Show Results' button, the configured filter will be applied, and the results will be displayed on the screen.
    5. Reset button: A Reset button is provided to reset your filter. When you click the Reset button, all filter settings will be removed and reset to the default.
    6. You can close the filter at any time by clicking the X. If you click the X icon without clearing the filter, the filter will close, and the applied filter will be displayed on the filter icon.
