Timer

Timer

Overview

The Timer module in OneEnterprise enables administrators and integration engineers to configure and manage the scheduling of data synchronization processes across all connected systems. Rather than requiring manual intervention each time data needs to be transferred between platforms, the Timer module automates the timing and cadence of service execution — ensuring that integrations run reliably, on schedule, and without disruption to business operations.

Timer settings are organized by connected system — such as Workday, Microsoft OneDrive, and internal Framework Services — and each system can contain multiple timer entries corresponding to specific data entities or processes (for example, Customer, Item, and Order for Workday). Each entry carries its own schedule, allowing fine-grained control over when and how often each integration process runs. This structure lets teams apply different sync frequencies to different data types based on business priority and volume requirements.

The Timer module is accessible from the main navigation sidebar. Navigate to Timer to view and manage all configured timer groups and entries. Administrators use the module to pause, resume, and inspect the execution timing of each integration service, while the Scheduler sub-component provides a dedicated interface for configuring the underlying scheduling logic for individual timer entries.

Key Features
  1. System-grouped Timer Configuration: Organizes timer settings by connected platform (Workday, Microsoft OneDrive, Framework Services) so administrators can manage schedules per integration partner.
  2. Multiple Entry Support: Each connected system can host multiple timer entries — one per data entity or process — each with its own independently configured schedule.
  3. Pause and Resume Control: Each timer entry includes a pause control, allowing administrators to temporarily halt a specific integration without disabling the entire system connection.
  4. Execution Timestamp Visibility: Every timer entry displays the last scheduled and last completed execution timestamps, giving teams immediate visibility into synchronization status.
  5. Scheduler Component: A dedicated Scheduler sub-page for each timer entry provides granular control over the scheduling behavior and execution window.
  6. Framework Services Support: Includes a dedicated timer group for internal OneEnterprise framework processes, enabling performance tuning of platform-level operations.

Navigate to the Timer

Navigation: Monitoring> Timer
  1. Click on the Monitoring group menu, then select the Timer.

View the List of Services

  1. The screen shows a list of services running in the application.
  2. Two types of services are displayed: Framework Services and System Connectors' Services.
  3. The top band always shows the framework services. When clicked, the band expands to reveal all the running services.
  4. The bands below the framework services show system-connector-related services. Each connector has its own band. Clicking a band expands it to display all the running services.

Action Area

  1. The action area provides the following action items:
    1. Search: Use the Search icon in the top toolbar to search for a specific timer or entry by name.
    2. Refresh: Use the Refresh icon to reload the current timer state and update execution timestamps.
    3. Help: This provides help articles related to the screen.

Framework Services

  1. To view the Framework services, click on the band.
  1. Once the section is expanded, the list of running services appears.
  2. Each service is displayed on a separate band, which provides the following information:
    1. The service name.
    2. The date and time of its last run, and the date and time of its next scheduled run.
  3. Click on any of the bands to view its details.
    1. Once expanded, the details will be shown.
    2. Review the service name and description.
    3. Check the timestamps on each row to verify when the last scheduled and last completed executions occurred.
    4. Check the service status and the timestamp.
    5. Click on the band to navigate to that entry's Scheduler page.

  1. Clicking the band opens the corresponding scheduler screen, where you can view the service's scheduler details.
