Overview
The Edit Address feature allows users to update and maintain accurate location details within the system. Whether modifying home, office, or correspondence addresses, this functionality provides a simple, intuitive interface for quick adjustments. By ensuring address information remains current and reliable, the feature supports seamless communication, precise record-keeping, and improved operational efficiency across the platform.
Start Editing Mode
- Option 1: Select the Edit icon from the context menu on the Contact card.
- Option 2: Select the Edit option dropdown on the Contact Details screen.

- After you click the Edit button, a screen appears where you can choose the section to modify.
The following sections are provided on the screen:
- Address
- Avatar
- Communication
- Details
- Roles
- To edit the address, click the Address band. The Address screen opens in edit mode.
Modify Addresses
In this section, you will find comprehensive instructions to help you edit or update existing contact addresses with ease. By following the steps outlined here, you can update the address details hassle-free.
View List of Addresses
- After you click the Address band, the address screen appears, displaying the list of addresses.
- It is possible for a contact to have more than one business address.
For instance, the following addresses are shown in the screenshot below:
- Business
- Billing
- You can also add a new address using the Add button.
- A chevron icon is located at the end of each band. Click it or anywhere within the band to edit further.
Edit Existing Address
When you select a band from the address list, the corresponding address screen appears where you can modify the existing address. The screen displays various fields with pre-filled data.
Address Type:
- This field allows you to modify the address type.
The dropdown includes the following address types:
- Billing
- Business
- Private
- Shipping
- Other
- Address Line 1: Fill in the Address Line 1 and 2 fields with your physical address details. You can modify both fields if needed.
- Address Line 2: If the address is long and cannot be accommodated in Address Line 1, enter the remaining address in this field.
- Zip: The ZIP field allows you to edit the ZIP code.
- City: The City field allows you to modify the city name.
- Country: Select the appropriate country from the dropdown.
- To save any changes, click the Save button in the action area.
- To discard the modification, click anywhere on the breadcrumb.
- When you try to exit the screen without saving your changes, a confirmation dialog appears.
- If you discard the changes, click the Yes button.
- However, if you want to keep the changes, click the No button. This closes the dialog. Remember to save your changes by clicking the Save button.

Delete Existing Address
- Once you hover over the address band, the Delete icon will appear in the row.
- The Delete icon lets you delete your contact's selected address.
- To delete the selected address, click the Delete icon.
You cannot delete the address marked as the Default address. To delete that address, first set another address as the Default, then delete the original address.
- When you click the Delete button for a band, a confirmation dialog appears.
- The dialog has two options: a Yes button and a No button.
- If you click Yes, the address is deleted.
- If you click No, the deletion is canceled.
Set Your Default Address
- When you hover over the address band, the Default icon will appear in the row.
- The Default icon lets you set the selected address as your contact's default address.
- To set the selected address as the default, click the Default icon.
- Once the chosen address is set as the default, a Default chip will appear on the band.
Add New Address
- To add a new address, click the Add button on the screen.
- After you click the Add button, an Add Address screen appears.
Fill in the details in the following fields:
Address Type:
- This field lets you add an address type.
The dropdown includes the following address types:
- Billing
- Business
- Private
- Shipping
- Other
- If an option is already selected and an address has been created, it will not appear in the dropdown list. This means you cannot create two addresses of the same type.
- Address Line 1: Enter the physical address details here; this field is mandatory.
- Address Line 2: Provide the continuation of the address in this field.
- ZIP: Enter the ZIP code.
- City: Enter the city name.
- Country: Select the country from the dropdown.
- To save any changes, click the Save button in the action area.
- To discard the modification, click anywhere on the breadcrumb.
- The new shipping address has been added to the list.
- When you try to exit the screen without saving your changes, a confirmation dialog appears.
- If you discard the changes, click the Yes button.
- However, if you want to keep the changes, click the No button. This closes the dialog. Remember to save your changes by clicking the Save button.
