Add/Remove Component

This section provides the steps to add or remove the component of the connector. To add or remove the component, you need to start the edit mode. 

Step 1 - Start Editing Mode

Option 1 - Accessing an Edit option using a context menu
  1. Click or hover the mouse on the arrow to expand the menu on the Connector Designer card.
  2. Click on the Pencil icon to open the edit screen.


Option 2 - Accessing an Edit option via the Connector Designer Details screen
  1. Click on the Connector tile to open the Details view. Then, click on the Edit drop-down and choose the Edit option.

  1. A list of edit options gets displayed on the screen.
  2. To edit the component details, click on the Components band.

Step 2 - View Component List

  1. After clicking on the Component band, a list of all available Components will be displayed.
  2. Each Component is represented by a separate band on the screen.
  3. To make changes to a specific component, click on it. 

Step 3 - Add Component

  1. To add a new component, click on the Add button.
  2. An Add Component wizard will open. Follow the wizard's steps to complete the process. 
  3. Refer to the Define Component articles for more information and details on the step.

Step 4 - Delete Component

  1. Any component from the list can be removed.
  2. You may remove one or multiple components at once.

Delete One Component

  1. When hovering over the band, a Delete icon will appear.
  2. Upon clicking the icon, a confirmation pop-up must appear.

Delete Multiple Components

  1. Click on the Select button provided in the action area, and you will see the delete icon in the action area.

  1. Please select the band of the component you wish to delete. The chosen bands will be highlighted.
  2. Multiple bands can be selected simultaneously.

  1. To remove the component, click on the Delete icon in the action area, and a confirmation pop-up will appear.

  1. When you click the Delete button for a band, a confirmation pop-up will appear. 
  2. The pop-up will display two options: a "Yes" button and a "No" button. 
  3. If you choose Yes, the band will be deleted.
  4. If you select No, the deletion process will be canceled.
